Spotted this in Lunenburg the other day walking back from the local fast food burger joint to work on my break. Not a big GM fan really, nor a truck fan, but spotted this out of the corner of my eye as it’s a nice color with rims on a GM truck I didn’t recognize - Chevy Trailblazer SS, not sure what year exactly, but very rare before, never had seen one until then! Excuse the crappy quality flipphone pic!

As a bonus, this was parked outside my other work the other day when I had come back from across the street - stopping in for a coffee, didn’t get to talk to the driver! :) Will have to keep an eye for when it’s updates from the local area go live! :D It was wearing Ontario plates.

They’re cool SUV’s and much cheaper than older SRT8 Grand Cherokees, but dat gas mileage tho... 6.0 LS2 with 400 horses in either awd or rwd guise. My favorite though? Saab built the 9-7x Aero using the exact same SS platform. It just looks different.

The TB SS got an LS2 and 4.10 gears. Could be had in 2wd or AWD. Not fast, but still decently quick. It’s also a bit lower I think.

The angle of that shot makes the front right tire look absurdly wide.

I looked into the sales of all of the GMT360's recently: http://oppositelock.kinja.com/on-the-relative-rarity-of-gm360-platform-trucks-1786314388  The Trailblazer SS is pretty rare - there are slightly less of them than Ascenders and just a few more than SSR’s. Think of how often you see either of those out there. The 9-7X is the rarest and the Aero variant - basically the Saab version of the Trailbalzer SS - is about as rare as it gets (I think it was brought up in the comments.)

I adore the 9-7x Aero. I love the concept of the Trailbazer SS, but they seem to always be bought by rednecks-turned-underground street racers. Whereas a 9-7x is a quirky, respectable vehicle.
